1. Information We Collect

moduda collects only the information you directly provide:

  • Email address — used for authentication and account management.
  • Contact data — the names, countries, and religions of contacts you add. This information is entered voluntarily by you and is used solely to personalise the calendar and AI-generated messages.

We do not collect any information automatically beyond standard server logs (IP address, request metadata) retained briefly for security purposes.

2. How We Use Your Information

  • Calendar personalisation — contact country and religion data is used to surface relevant cultural holidays and observances.
  • AI message generation — recipient context (country, religion, upcoming events) is sent to OpenAI to generate culturally respectful message drafts. No personally identifiable information beyond cultural context is included in AI prompts.
  • Account management — your email is used to authenticate you and send a confirmation link on signup.

We do not sell, rent, or share your data for advertising purposes.

3. Third-Party Services

We use the following third-party providers to operate the service:

  • Supabase — database and authentication hosting. Your account and contact data is stored in Supabase-managed infrastructure. See Supabase Privacy Policy.
  • OpenAI — AI message generation. Cultural context data is sent to the OpenAI API to generate message drafts. See OpenAI Privacy Policy.
  • Vercel — application hosting and edge infrastructure. See Vercel Privacy Policy.

4. AI-Generated Content Disclaimer

Cultural information displayed in moduda — including holiday descriptions, etiquette guides, greeting phrases, and AI-generated messages — is AI-assisted and may not be accurate, complete, or applicable to all individuals. Cultural and religious practices vary widely by region, community, and individual. Always use your own judgement before acting on this information.

5. Data Storage & Security

Your data is securely stored in Supabase servers. We implement industry-standard security measures, including encryption in transit (HTTPS/TLS) and secure database access controls, to protect your personal information against unauthorized access.

6. User Rights & Data Deletion

You have the right to access, correct, or delete your personal data at any time. Your account and associated contact data is retained for as long as your account is active. Upon account deletion, all your data is permanently and unrecoverably destroyed from our active databases.

7. Children's Privacy

moduda is not intended for use by children under the age of 14. We do not knowingly collect personal information from children. If you believe we have inadvertently collected such information, please contact us to have it removed.
